Crayon Eater's Wife 1775

Crayon Eater’s Wife 1775 (CEW1775) is a nonprofit organization. It was co-founded by Marine combat veteran Jimmy King and his wife, Beth. It is dedicated to the vital mission of “Healing through laughter.” Our organization was born from Jimmy’s personal recovery journey after losing a leg in an IED attack in 2004. We offer essential community and support for veterans and their families. We use humor as a powerful, therapeutic tool. It helps navigate trauma, foster resilience, and rebuild lives post-service. We empower our community to find strength in shared experience and defiant joy in the face of adversity.

At Crayon Eaterโ€™s Wife 1775 (CEW1775), we believe the fastest way to heal is often through a well-timed punchline. Weโ€™re not your grandmaโ€™s nonprofit (unless your grandma also has a salty sense of humor). We actively execute our mission of โ€œHealing through laughter.โ€ We relentlessly flood the internet with high-quality comedy and veteran-focused shenanigans. This effort proves that a little dark humor is the best medicine. But weโ€™re more than just memes. We back up our online mischief with genuine care. We deliver proactive mental health wellness checks. We also host a calendar full of live, accessible eventsโ€”both digital and in-person. These events are designed to connect veterans and their families, one shared, therapeutic laugh at a time. Basically, we turn trauma into comedy gold so you don’t have to carry the weight alone.

Tired of just scrolling? We are too! Whether you’re a veteran looking for community, we want you in our corner. If you are a spouse needing support, we want you in our corner. Are you just a good human who appreciates therapeutic comedy? We want you in our corner. Drop your contact info below and tell us how you want to get involved. We promise not to spam you. We will only send good news about upcoming events. Weโ€™ll also share wellness check opportunities and the ridiculous ways weโ€™re helping vets heal. Your involvement is the fuel that keeps the CEW1775 mission, and our founder Jimmy, moving (literally!). Fill out the form now and help us spread the joy.
